I do occasionally, but I don't tend to post in others unless I feel something is completely wrong, but even then, I have a friend that posts in many of the English forums already, so I tend to frequent the Chinese ones instead when I have time.

I am bringing this earlier inquiry again because it is now January and to tell the truth no substantial projects have come up! July, August, September etc were quiet!

Is it worth another look at the reading or shall I do a new throw?

From the looks of this reading I have done for you, it looks like you didn't really go and pursue many lines of work after the July period as hard as you could have, or turned them down. Likely becoming a little too comfortable in your own situation instead. It looks like you were waiting for the easier or better ones to turn up and subsequently missed out.

In the period of August of 2007 odd, there was likely a better offer available on a job, but you were beaten to the pip by a competitor using somewhat slightly underhanded tactics.

In October period, due to home or family issues, likely injury or accident involving those older or younger than yourself, made it difficult to really get any kind of work with their predicament. So there isn't really much that could have been done there and then.

Recently, work should also be increasing, but you are not really getting as much requests. Most are being taken, given or passed over to those younger than you.

In Feb, you will once again have the opportunity to obtain work, but you will need to be more pro-active. And whilst the idea might seem a little appalling, it might be a good idea to do a course to update your skills, as it seems to be somewhat lacking according to this reading.

Not the most flattering analysis but I have to take what I get.

August I actively pursued many small projects but all got "great idea but this is not the right time" responses.
There was one large project I pursued and competitors were awarded it, then it went back to negotiation and seemed to open up, then it was re-awarded, then it was negotiated and open again. I was woking with sveral of the competing teams...each of which at some point thought they'd been awarded the project. But it's still not settled! Once a final award was about to be made, the client Director resigned and the Board put the whole thing on hold!

In December two new projects came along but one is not big and the other has yet to be defined. What bugs me is there are several projects I am supposed to start but they seem to be "on hold." That is in the hands of the client, I can't do anything to push them

I don't know what to make of the younger competitors. Of course, I often don't know much about the winners of bids.

Your comment about the new year is also interesting, as I am a bing daymaster, this ding hai year has been un-helpful!

But it is clear from what you said that I must hustle! The additional studies makes some sense, although it would take getting yet another degree to put me where I would need to be. Whew!

No no, there is not fault in your tone!

I assumed you were just reporting what the reading said. I may quibble with bits, but overall I know that OF COURSE I could be more aggressive! Some of what you read is outside my control, but some offers me a path I can follow.
