So, I cast this on April 17th. I submitted a play proposal to the playhouse in town (they are choosing their next season's shows) and I am hoping mine will be among them. They expect to announce next month what they decide.
The query, as recorded in my notebook, was "What will come of my proposal for 'David Garrick'?"

Obviously I did some interprting of my own but I'm interested to know what others think, especially as the readers here seem to be able to be much more specific.

If it matter, I live in Santa Fe (and that's where I cast this) and my birthdate is May 18, 1983.

Top line moves, binding onto self line Rs, so the 6 strike is eliminated. Last month the top line was loose, struck by the day. This month, it has recovered, so it is a moving line once again. That means your proposal will be accepted this month. Today is day w, and tomorrow is day wa. Possibly tomorrow you will know the result, as the empty self line will be fulfilled. If the day does not make it happen, next one or two months will still ensure thing will happen for the w or wa month will help to fulfill the emptiness.
Self line turning into an Rs star also indicates success.

Just thought I would mention I haven't heard anything back from them yet, but perhaps it just means that the decision was reached on one of those days but I won't hear about it for a while still (since June is when they said they would make the announcements.) Will keep you updated about the result.

Did they really say no to you officially? Can you let us know the day the receive the news?

I wentback to check the hexagram and I could not find teh answer had to be no.

Month wa had just changed starting from July 7 and lasting until end of Aug 6. If after Aug 7, the bad news still remain unchange, then I will have to accept that my readingis incorrect.

The self line is not only being supported but also being bonded to the gain star.The self line also turns into a gain star and produces back at itself. And the self line further sits on winner star. Really I can't sell how your proposal could be rejected.

Maybe you can check back with them and get them to review your proposal. May be they had overlooked.

It is a definite no from them, barring (I suppose) any very unusual circumstances, like one of the plays they picked not working out or something. I don't actually know what day it was decided etc. because they informed me of the rejection by letter, and furthermore the letter apparently sat around a few days before anyone told me it had come. I tossed the envelope so I don't have a post mark to go by.

The next season is already now announced and is full, so it's unlikely they would reconsider my David Garrick play.

EDIT: I've been finding myself a pretty good I Ching reader, even before I found Super I Ching, and thought I might mention... it has been my experience so far, that hexagram 51 (Here translated "Zen") tends to bring about a surprise, for good or bad... whatever you're expecting doesn't come to pass. Maybe that's what was at work here.
