I have a very good friend who is in ALOT of trouble. He was attacked by a man who was jealous of him because of the woman he was going out with who happened to be the attackers x-wife. So my friend who got attacked said he knew the guy was going to kill him, he hit him so hard the first time that he/James could not get back up even once. As he felt his body being beaten and kicked to death he remembered he had a knife in his pocket so somehow he was able to get the knife out and flip it open with one hand, and then he held it in front of him. The man kept beating and kicking him even while the knife was out in front, the attacker didnt' even pay attention to the knife and he got cut 7 or 8 times. James never did stab the guy he was trying to roll up into a ball the protect himself and he held the knife in front of him hoping the guy would stop! Well finally someone saw this attack and called the cops..................now get this............
they/cops arrested James for stabbing the guy! and nowJamesl is in major trouble and no one is beleiving his story. The guy who attacked him has been some influencial guy in the community so he's saying that James jumped him and with the knife!
What a mess!
I know James. He's a good good person.... and he did think the guy who attacked him was a peice of 'sh*t' because of what the mans x-wife had told him about being beat up over and over by this guy until she finaly got the courage to leave!
If he's/Jamesn is convicted he could go to prison for 7years and he's scared cause the justice system is not always fair.
Is he going to get off on these charges and his name cleared?

The entire situation doesn't appear to be looking that well.
When does the situation go to court?
There may be a chance during October to settle via monetary funds. Otherwise, things do not look good.
Don't do anything rash. All he can do now is look for evidence to support his claims.
Do NOT attempt to reverse any type of legal situation onto this other person even when he may get evidence that points him as innocent and other person as guilty, it will not work, and may draw out even more problems for your friend. Consider himself lucky if he gets the evidence and can settle during October.
