Hi guys biggrin.gif

Hey do one of you have the link to the I Ching generator that I can download on to this computer?

My other computer crashed so I lost everything on it and the link for that download.
I'm borrowing another computer now for awhile so I want to down load that helpful I Ching generator.

UK Anon had told me how to change the 'time' on my computer but this is an old one and that option is not available so will the hexagrams I enter into the 'generator' still be accurate?

I hope you're all having a good day,

Ces

P.S. I talked to Alex on the phone today and he's sending me a book, THE BOOK biggrin.gif

Hmmm, just realised that the link with the application I posted is dead. Must have went down with the site.

Hold on, I'll PM nim, and ask for permission to host it for a day somewhere so you can download it.

Right, I've just emailed nim, asking for permission or a new link. Will let you know as soon as I get a reply.

Or maybe nim will personally post. I dunno.

Hi smile.gif

Any news as to whether anyone has a link to download the I Ching generator?

Thanks,
Ces

Yes, I have obtained permission to host the file for a day or two for users of the board to download it.

I will give the link in 24 hours of this post. (Hopefully). It will then be up for a maximum of 24 hours. So please, anyone that needs it, get it when it's up. After that, I will post it again when there are enough requests for it. (Don't have free bandwidth here).

Download the helper from this link. It is not the la-*test*-('") one, which you could add the text for each lines interpretation (from the I Ching text), but it is the one with an (sort of) automatic date conversion.

It will be up for the next 24 hours. It will then be removed afterwards. So please try and get it quick.

Just to let you all know the final version of my software will now be indefinitely available for download here:

I don't have much time to work on it these days so there are unlikely to be any future updates. Anyway, this version remains true to Alex Chiu's interpretation of I-Ching. I decided to cut out the changing-lines crap from it because it's going off on an unnecessary tangent and it's not relevant to Chiu's work.

A note about the date conversion - I have a feeling it only works for the logical UK date format (dd/mm/yyyy), so if you can't get it to work properly either input the Chinese date manually or change your computer date format to the UK format.
